Hanukkah Lunch

Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah which means the first day is tomorrow! The next time Thanksgiving and Hanukkah will overlap like this will be in 77,798 years. CRAZY!

Harper has been reading a lot of Hanukkah books to familiarize herself with the holiday. She knows what a dreidel looks like! She also know what a menorah looks like. Over the past couple of months, my husband and I have been teaching her the Hebrew prayer for lighting the Hanukkah candles. Tonight, she will make her Facetime/Skype unveiling to her Geema and Poppy when we light the candles.

To get her in the holiday spirit, I've created a special Hanukkah lunch for her.

Harper's lunch is in our favorite EasyLunchboxes container. She is eating yellow peppers and Laughing Cow cheese. If you look closely, you'll see that I put a little gold star sticker on the foil of the cheese. She has three little peanut butter and sprinkle dreidel sandwiches. She also has slices of menorah pears, and of course, she is has a gold coin - known during Hanukkah as gelt!
